My August Mom Family

Oh gosh! I just realized that this month is my 10 year anniversary for joining the August96 moms birthlist. Wow. 10 years ago I found out I was pregnant. I had been lurking around on a usenet list called Misc.Kids.Pregnancy for about a year. That list had started to create monthly email lists for when you found out you were pregnant. Since my due date was 8/8/96 I joined the Aug96 list. We were maybe just the 4th or 5th such monthly list at that time. Well I surely had no idea that the AugustMoms would become my second family. A hardy group of about 45? of us still exists. We have been through everything you can imagine that life dishes out over that time. We had our 8th annual gathering in San Fran this past October and that weekend is TOPS on my list of things to do each year. In 2006 we will gather in Portland Maine where Tandy lives and I already cannot wait!! 10 years…Happy Anniversary ladies. I love you all very much.
