4-0. What a nice start to the Pop Warner season! DS2 had another rushing touchdown. Not a lot of competition again. Their score came with a lot of our rookie kids in on defense. Next weekend though will be The Big One. Against a coach who used to be in our league but then left under a bit of a cloud. Now he is coaching our big local rival. Last year in a scrimmage they came in and pushed us all over the field so we know it is going to be tough.
It’s a heavenly sports packed weekend for us. I am enjoying every minute of it with DS2. I feel so blessed that we share all this together. The Padres game Friday night was *almost* history as the Padres pitcher came within 2 outs of a no-hitter. Since it is the final regular season weekend and also with the team in first place, the crowds have been huge and enthusiastic. Last night was another great night. Our close Trevor Hoffman earned his 478th career save which ties the all time MLB record. We go again this afternoon as soon as DS2 finishes playing his own baseball game! I am sure I will be wiped out after all this, but it is SOOO worth it!
It’s fall – my favorite time of the year. Well, perhaps a very close second to the holidays, but Fall itself lasts longer. Since the house was just torn apart and now it getting put back together, I have all my fall colors out. With these beautiful floors….it is truly a dream come true for me to have my home looking like this. I may not be spending a lot of time in it right now, but at least when I do come home, I am wrapped up in warmth and my version beautiful things. I really need that in my home.
