A little site meter analysis time!
I’ve meant to do this since a couple of other sister bloggers highlighted this and I finally had time today at lunch to comb through the last 100 hits to this site. Funny stuff I tell ya! There are the usual people who have me bookmarked, some coming through the august mom site, some coming from the other blogs I visit where my sig line has a link to here, some from a link to here from other blogsites.
Then there are the google searches. Some are to be expected given the title of my blog. Lot’s of variations on “Torrey Pines” and use of the workd “reflections”. A few sports related given how much I write about that such as “pop warner”. A few political – recently it was “Obama Clinton”. Some are related to the 3 day walk or fitness. Some practical/informational searches such as “cleaning rat droppings from carpet” (just love that I had something to write about rat droppings – ahem), “torn shoes”, “pulling weeds”, “knees hurt from UGGS”, “how long does it take for blurriness to fade after lasik surgery” and “my breast hurts when I touch it”. I doubt that I gave any of those visitors answers. I hope they found some solutions are doing ok.
Then there are the more interesting ones. The ones that make you wonder what people are doing that they need to google search these topics! Of course the classic one which got another hit this last week is “I hate Peoplesoft” Man, that software program has some angry users out there!! Here are a few though that I am quite certain I did not answer and which just leave me with more questions:
“Ugly floors Project” – Ugly? You WANT ugly floors?
“I think I am done” – OK. Done with what? Why would you search on that phrase?
“Dodger & Raider Fans” – Ack! I don’t want any of THEM visiting regularly! π
“How many pets does Oprah have?” – Perhaps an understandable question. She talks about her dogs a lot. Fine.
“How much does Oprah sleep?” – HUH? Getting a tad personal with that curiosity aren’t you?
So there it is. These are the random people who find my little place. And hey – if you are a regular visitor – drop a comment now and then! It’s always nice to hear from the regular readers.
I am searching for … you! I stop by daily to see what’s going on in your corner of the world. Of course, Sitemeter tells you that, but you needed a comment today. Hope you’re feeling better.
