Back from the dead

OK, not really dead, but my once every three months or so hormone headache from hell surfaced on Wednesday morning and as per usual is only now thinking about leaving. No amount of pain meds dents it. I barely slept Wed night so I worked from home. Worked being a marginal term since I only put in about 3 hours! I slept on the sofa the other three in between breakfast and lunch. Feeling more rested I went to a jewelry party featuring the designs of Laure Williams who is a cousin to one of the baseball moms (Grumpy’s wife, REmom). It was a gorgeous setting since they just finished their redesigned ocean view house in Del Mar. It has those retractable glass walls making the house open to the whole yard which is designed with tropical plants and gorgeous rock formations. It felt like being in the lobby of a gorgeous hotel really! I walked in right away with SkinCare mom, another good buddy and we shopped shopped shopped! I bought about 5 necklaces and a bracelet, a pair of Versace sunglasses (just $171) and three belts and a fake Dolce&Cabana black purse which looks super good and was too cheap to pass up. The shopping took about 90 minutes then we sat down to some wine and salad and cheese and crackers and good conversation. Grumpy arrived later and asked about DS2 and said they miss him on their 10 year old LL all star team that he is coaching. That was so sweet. I am going to head out tomorrow after the Torrey Pines hike to go watch that all start team play. It’s so nice to stay connected with that group even with DS2 out of town :-> He’s been gone two full weeks now and I am still doing fine. The next week already is filling up – I’m actually going to need a break soon to get things done at home!!
