Spent today working from home. Which sounds like it meant I could sleep in, right? Just wander downstairs in my pajamas at 8:00am? Hah! The day I have to work from home (thanks to the B&G Club closing today and tomorrow) is also the day that we had a baseball club board meeting. At 7:15am. IOW – get up and shower at 6:30am as usual. Lovely. Ah, the baseball club. I feel as if we are on the verge of something there. I can see us turning from a mom and pop club to a more professional community organization. If we could *just* tie up some loose ends and get our arms around a few cantankerous souls. I have the feeling that even with moving the majority of our transactions online – doing away with the pain in my side of collecting dues by check and running deposits to the bank every other day – I will be working even more for the club this year in other ways. But it’s a good kind of work and as long as I can work with the ones who don’t drive me nuts, it will be a very good year for the club I think. There is just some upheaval and transitioning that needs to happen first. Working from here was interesting. Laptop and PC up side by side, answering emails and sending files to myself. Fun stuff. I did sneak in a nap, watered the backyard and vacuumed the house too ๐
Oh yeah – so I was shopping for a new bed before leaving for Chicago. King sized. Sealy tempurpedic springless mattress. The most comfortable thing I ever lay down upon. Oooh, it was dreamy. Found a frame I liked (don’t want a footboard since all that does is give me bruises when I walk around it!) and was going to ponder the purchase this month. Total delivered at $2700. I’ve never bought a really nice mattress so I felt it was time. But wait……MusicMan went in to finish the work on his teeth…and even with insurance coverage the out of pocket (my pocket of course) was……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..$2900!!!
Bye bye new bed.

Crem has a tempurpedic and he does go on about it.
Me I’ll probably NEVER get on one unless I know that I can afford it right now — cause I think I’d fall in love.
