LED report

More hangover. Super tired. Think I am fighting off something. I had the flu shot again this year and I’ve noticed that when something tries to take hold, that rather than have major symptoms, I just get verrry tired. I felt the hints of a sore throat on Christmas night so I am not surprised that I’ve felt the need to just rest. I did finish the CD download project today and loaded SB’s player with some songs that he wanted so it was not an entirely unproductive day – just slow. I did get the SDG&E bill that covers 11/20-12/19. I put the lights up 11/24 and didn’t start switching out to LED’s until 12/7 or so. Still, this year’s bill is $40 lower than the same period last year. Since I wont take down the lights until 1/5 they will run into next month’s bill too which will be a more fair comparison of the same # of weeks with LED’s vs regular. I’m happy though as they definitely had an impact!

Back to my bed and my book – the good part about all this down time is that I get to read!

  1. thanks for commenting on my blog, LED Lights at Home! I’ll definitely check out the site you mentioned. Congratulations on your switch — I’m working on switching more kinds of lights. next are the bulbs in my old incandescent nightlights — just found an LED replacement bulb for $5. When I get it, I’ll put a review on my blog.

  2. Hi from Bunnybubblette and Are We There Yet’s friend, Taz –

I started switching to LED’s last year and they definitely seemed to help our electric bills. I wanted to put some more on my tree but didn’t find the right kind until long after the tree had been put up. The good news being, I paid half price for the lights themselves. 🙂

Guess I will have to wait til next year to enjoy the benefits of the LED’s. We’ve already stashed everything Christmas in the basement.
