Back in May I included a photo of a Jacaranda tree on a post. It was nothing much. Had the usual number of views for the first month or so of it’s life. Then suddenly it has skyrocketed to the #2 all time viewed. Makes me wonder why a search on ‘jacaranda tree’ it took some time before being directed to my site? Do things have to be up for a certain lenght of time before they show up? Because I figure that is a common enough search. It’s just strange why it took so long to reach an impact here.
Along the same lines, I posted a graphic in June of a cartooon couch potato. In the last week it has been viewed over 100 times as the result of searches on that term! Why now? Is there a sudden curiosity about couch potatoes or is it like the example above that it takes some time before my site makes its way to the top of a search?
OTOH, the very day that I posted that picture of Obama’s grandma in Feb, it was getting hits and still gets at least one a day. Yep, that’s the top post all time. So funny what has mass appeal beyond my friends and family who read. Obama, jacarandas and couch potatoes.
