3-Day Walk #3!

Anyone who was around me last year knows that in October, when the walkers from the 2005 Breast Cancer 3-Day went past the NU buildings, it was all I could do not to join them! Yeah, I was in work clothes and shoes but who cares! I had walked in 02 and 03 and it was killing me not to participate again. However, when they scheduled the walks for October, I just could not do it anymore. It came too close to the August moms gatherings and the main training time would have been summer which is THE busiest time for me. In 04 I stayed totally away. But in 05 they walked right past and I HAD to go out and cheer of course. That did it. I needed to be there. Hopped onto the website that day and was THRILLED to see that this year it is scheduled for Nov 10-12! I forgot about it for a bit knowing that I could make my final decision as late as May. Then I talked to another mom on DS2’s Little League team who has already signed up. So, this week I made my committment. I setup my website and went to buy shoes today. Even went on a short walk! I’m ready and excited. This event is another one of those things that makes my soul dance ya know 🙂 It’s a fabulous combination of walking, being outdoors, communing with some amazing people and actually giving back and helping people.
