Did I have to pick the hottest summer on record to begin training for the 3-Day? Even though I am walking either before 10:00am or after 5:30pm, the heat is horrible. This morning was not too bad since I left my house at 8:30, arrived at air conditioned Curves at 9:10 and worked out there before walking home. So I had a break in some nice cool air out of the sun and kept up working out the rest of my body. Coming back from the birthday lunch today, I drove along the beach and my car temp gauge registered the outside air at 82 degrees! That’s waaay high for right on the water. Turning just one mile inland to my house and it hit 90.
I don’t have air conditioning in my house, which is really ok. With all windows open the breeze is really great inside. Still, you don’t want to do much in the middle of the day! I am lucky (hahah) to work in a an ari conditioned basement office during the week. On the weekends though – man oh man – all we want to do it lay down by a window. DS1 took four days off for his birthday and his days are spent in front of the fan in his bedroom window while he alternately naps and watches movies. I don’t blame him though after working under cars all day. Can you imagine standing in a station bay under a hot car in 90 degree outdoor heat? Wearing the full workshop uniform which does NOT breathe?
So this is now officially puzzle making weather. The puzzle table is in the corner with two open windows facing south and west and a great breeze coming through it. That is about all I have the energy to do.
We are in trouble. It is only mid-July and our hot months are usually August and Sept! Ugh, this laptop is too hot – back to the puzzle corner.
Me tooooo! I’d kill for a puzzle window corner crossword, whatever the hell it is, with ocean breezes about now. : )

In the Northeast there was much melting going on, but a bunch of C&Jers got to melt together. I, on the other hand, love this weather. I am interviewing for another job this week.
Hugs and Smooches,
