Day two observations

It’s pitch dark at 6:30am in Orlando with the time change.

I have never been to a convention and spent so much damn time on buses!!

Birding here would be awesome. I saw a bald eagle and a pair of cardinals.

A combination of lack of full sleep and proper meals from Sat-Mon yielded a VERY spacey me! At one point I was so sure that I had lost my cell phone that I reported it to the conference center lost and found and to the hotel’s lost and found. Then I found it. In my backpack. I have no memory at all of putting it there! Later I thought I had lost a sweater – also found in my backpack which I checked right away after learning my lesson. Again, no memory of putting it away in there. Sheesh!

Attended a session in the afternoon that pretty much pays for the price of the conference. Makes me feel productive at least.

Had a BLAST at two vendor events. First walked around the lake at the Coronado Springs. We have done a great job of walking here! Can’t help it really since everything is so spread out. Most walking I’ve done since the 3-day really. Had a drink at the first event then hopped a bus (shock!) to the Animal Kingdom which was closed down just for us. The section back where Expedition Everest is was setup with a DJ, desserts and open bars for us, plus the ride was open. We rode it 4 times!! The first time I was really scared – it does have a downhill dip which I normally really hate – more that my mind can’t deal with it than anything, but I was determined to go. We screamed our way through it :-> Pretty cool because at one point you go backwards which was a total trip. I had a really weird experience though the third time through. We were making it a point of screaming and I really HAVE to on the downhill so I took a deep breath and really let it out and I passed out!! For like 10-15 seconds although I could hear the sounds of the ride and feel the wind on my face, I was totally disoriented and felt like I was dreaming. My eyes were closed the whole time. So bizarre! And yet, yes, I went on it again!! I was fine the last time and did reduce my screaming a bit. So after even more bus time I was not back in the room until 12:30am and asleep 1:00am. ZZZZZzzzzzzzz….
