Ooof – hard to sit through sessions when you only had 5.5 hours of sleep! Thank heavens I didn’t really drink much Monday night so I was only tired, but still! Awesome sessions though! Also saw some white ibis and swallow tailed kites (those are cool birds!). Bailed on the Hootie concert though – just too tired and I had to be up at 5:30 to catch a 6:30 bus to the airport. At least the flights home were not only on time, but actually early! I was back in the house at 4:00. Gawd I missed my kitties!! They were fine though. DS1 used my house as home base as I requested so that they had human contact. He even did a pretty good job of cleaning up. Pretty good. Not great – the floors need wiping badly 😉 The best news is that I got my new car! Ok, well *I* didn’t get it, SP took care of it for me while I was gone. A very cute C320 wagon that is a gorgeous burgundy/grey combination. I love it! That means I get to pay off a few things. Even better.
My overall impression of WDW was not horrible 😉 Outside of the whole riding on more buses than I cared for, the grounds were just fabulous. It’s one of those places where you only need a room for sleeping, and that is about what they give you! Not really worth the price for the *room* alone, but package that with the grounds and it’s ok. You can do as much, or as little as you want there. I liked how there were large, central, playground like pools in the centers, but then also smaller, quieter pool on the outskirts. Lots of eating choices too. Certainly a very very excellent family vacation destination.
Glad you’re home!
