I am not old!!

Just want to record when I am getting home from a party at 1:00am on a Sat night. More details after sleep.  SP was a trooper and we had the best time. I laughed SO HARD!!

The theme of the party was Monte Carlo.  The guests were a pretty good mix of couples and co-workers who had/have worked with the hosts – and then their gay friends. So, the only straight males there were those that had arrived with a girl (like SP). This is about the 4th of these parties that we have attended and they are always a hoot! SP always protests and then gets there and has fun. They always have a hosted martini bar, but then the decor is centered on whichever theme they pick. So this year they also had casino tables. Two blackjack tables and a roulette wheel. Each guest received $300 in play money to use at the tables. Raffle tickets could be ‘bought’ for $50. So the more success you had gambling, the more raffle tickets you could purchase. The giveaway was a hotel stay at your choice of about 5 different hotels. Very fun! We played at the roulette table for about an hour and did pretty well on just $100 each. Then we took a break and had some drinks and nibbled on food and chatted with other guests we knew.  Then it was 10:30 and we knew the raffle was at 11:00 so we thought we would just buy raffle tickets with our other money since there was no time to play. But the other gal from work who carpooled with us challenged me to play with $200 of it on the roulette wheel betting $100 at a time for the remaining 10 minutes on the table. OK, fine. SP had been betting $25 at a time on black so I dropped the $100 on black – and won. Then I left two chips on black- and won again! Well, I kept this up the entire time until the table closed and won us enough to buy about 16 more tickets! Of course, it did us no good 😦 But it sure was a fun way to learn how to play roulette! After that I had some fun trying to break the ice for one of my gay friends with another guy. That is always fun. Flirting in complete safety! Only marginally successful though. SP had fun watching the whole show 🙂  Anyway, it sure was fun to get out and play. And stay out ALMOST as late as the birthday boy (we got home about 20 mins before he did).
