Three weeks straight with what was probably the most hectic possible schedule with SportsBoy! Whew! First day of school tomorrow and he also returns to his dad for a week. Quite honestly, the break will be nice. Not that I wont be going places for him and seeing him. With the start of school, I start my every Tues and Thurs shifts at the drop off line. Thurs night is Open House at the school. Friday night is Pop Warner night at the home opener for the Torrey Pines High School team. Saturday is his first Pop Warner game. Yeah – it will be a BREAK!!
The weekend was nice though. Other than heading out yesterday to weight in certification and the traditional post weigh in meal at Texas Lils in Temecula, we’ve actually had it pretty easy. Friday night he stayed overnight at a teammate’s house so I had a night to myself 🙂 Caught up on all my recorded tv shows. I started some deeper housecleaning yesterday morning before we left for Temecula. Last night I read for awhile when we got home. We looked up his teacher – not who he really wanted (a repeat of his 3rd grade teach who we adored), but also still a very good selection of course. Not that there is a bad teacher at this school! Well, there was one, and he did get him in 2nd grade, but then the guy retired so now everyone is awesome. Today we shopped for school clothes at Marshalls and I did more cleaning and all the laundry. Even did a little yard work as the sun was going down and it was finally cool enough! It was just nice to be home mostly and tending to those chores.
