My apologies for getting a bit deep today, but while reading Cheers & Jeers on DailyKos this morning, I came upon this poem by a member who I often love to read as she has given me great insight and understanding on the lives of trans gender people. She posted this in honor of the Transgender Day of Remembrance. Here is one stanza of her poem:
We are Normal: a duet
Would you please
Lend me food?
I am hungry. We do not know you.
You are alien.
You are not welcome.
We are normal.
Now, please click here to see her beautiful artwork and to read the rest. It applies to *anyone*. It also perfectly illustrates why I have that Live and Let Live motto. Remember folks, normal is a just a setting on the dryer :->
I LOVE IT — is “normal is just a setting on the dryer” and original quote — or can you tell me who said it. I LOVE IT

I like it too … “normal is just a setting on the dryer.”

I saw it as a sig line on Daily Kos – think I posted it here as an opening quote a few months ago. However, I am not sure who originally said it – sounds George Carlin-ish, doesn’t it?
