As I have been working from home the last three days, I have been sitting in my dining area facing the french doors that look out onto my rather tiny back yard. Mostly I have been watching the leaves flutter off of the peach tree in the corner, but I’ve also watched some hummingbirds visiting the blooming cactus plants. Oh yes, the cats love that part! Anyway, at first I kept looking out there thinking that I really need to rake up the mess though there is no point doing it until all the leaves are down and they are falling even as I type this. But then, I had another thought. Isn’t that up there a rather pretty fall themed background? Stay tuned folks. For those of you on the holiday card list, you may just see something in your mailbox with this background. Many thanks to CSM who reminded me this morning that I need to think about said holiday cards in the middle of all that is going on. The picture part has to be done this weekend no matter what! That is always the challenge. How to get the three of us at home at once, in this case in the daytime, and also have someone around to take a picture. Tomorrow is possible though.
Oh, this is supposed to be a Thanksgiving post isn’t it? Well, Happy Thanksgiving to anyone who stops by. As usual, my mind is already on the next holiday π Yesterday after finishing the work I needed to do, I spent about 90 mins in the garage clearing a path to my many boxes of decorations. They will be coming out tonight! Now that I have an idea for the card, the next thing is to do a walk about in the yard and see what I need to clean before I get started out there. Given that I have to scale back a lot inside thanks to my furry family members, those additional lights will end up outside.
Safe travels and happy eating!!

I found out picture cards are on sale for two days at Osco — so cards are getting done this weekend. Oh yeah — I should be doing that right now before I head to turkey — but here I sit reading your blog :}.
