Loong day

Up at 4:45am, at the field at 7:00am. Game time 8:00am. First game tied 7-7 after 5 innings. Should have won as all runs scored were on fielding errors so we felt confident. Game two they lose 9-1 – ack!! So we head out en mass to a nearby Rainforest Cafe for a really nice lunch. Have you ever had the crab cakes there? YUMMY! A little retail therapy at Steve & Barrys where all shirts were 8.98 and 2 for 15. Woohoo! One child bought a shirt that reads “I have issues”. Um, yes, that was truth in advertising as you will soon learn. Another who is staying with SB and I tonight in the hotel bought a shirt that says “I’m with stupid” with the arrow pointing UP 🙂 Then on to the hotel to regroup and plan a movie outing. Ended up seeing Alvin & the Chipmunks. Really cute movie. However, it was 4 moms with 9 kids – ack again! All was going fairly well as we settled in to one of those AMC theaters with stadium type seating. Adults in one row, 7 kids below and then 2 more (mine and another) down in the middle. Part way through the mom next to me sees a piece of candy go flying down towards where mine is sitting. So she reaches forward to take the bag of candy from Mr I Have Issues. lol. Figured! At least mine did not retaliate!! Of course Mr I Have Issues was without either of his parents.Tough. She kept the candy and ate it herself – love that! Now the kids are roaming from room to room wearing out welcomes. I could have driven back home really, but hey, they are having fun right? 😉 And stupid me forgot my power cord for the laptop so even though I have this wonderful free wireless in the room, I am limited to the battery power. Poop!! Dinner soon and then BED – I am so frackin tired.

May I say though, that is was really kind of peaceful to drive at dawn? So pretty to watch the sky go from dark to light and then finally see the sun come up over the hills. Clear and gorgeous and warm.

Well, my room is currently peaceful and I do have some primary results to check into. I’ll throw up a Move 08 post in the morning. Free wireless is so sweet :->
