And because I am trying to avoid surfing the ‘net while watching the AI finale, yet it is odd to watch and not blog….here is a picture of trees that flower (top 5 search hit). My favorite and a so cal staple, the jacaranda:
A gorgeous tree that lines older streets in So Cal just like this one. It’s messy as hell and looks truly scraggly once those blooms drop, but for that spring time bloom, it is worth it!

we also have that kind of tree here in the Philippines and i’m so happy to know that its name is JACARANDA……………weeeepeeeee….

Ive seen these in neighbor hoods where i live. (fl) I would love to plant one in my yard. Im thinking of sneaking in someones yard and stealing seed pods off the trees. if anyone knows a better way to get the seeds let me know :p (Had to submit twice to check the notify me box, sorry)

Funny because living here all my life I truly have no idea! Mostly I see the sprigs at the nursery, and I have not noticed little trees sprouting below my neighbor’s tree once the pods fall. Hmmm…good question!
