I had RK in one of my eyes 15 years ago. I am so glad I didn’t have both eyes done because now I can’t read with the corrected eye.

Kitty – they tried to correct only one eye but the monovision thing never took. So what they did was correct one a little less than the other if that makes sense. I do have a little bit of an issue seeing things up close, but I am talking up really close. Reading is fine. Otherwise it is something that still amazes me some days since I wore glasses for close to 15 years before the surgery.

It took me years to get used to. I even had to wear a contact lens in one eye for a while. I kept thinking I gotta get this other eye done one day. Fortunately I never got around to it.
