So you get a recycled email that I sent out to my high school class rep for notes she is putting together to send out:
From the Department of Redundancy dept…..
The basics: Oldest son is 23 and working at Henry’s making my
grocery bill a little lighter since I get a family discount. Youngest
son is 12 and started Middle school and just loves
walking back and forth to school and having a cell phone and a little
more independence. Football and baseball take up all of his non school
time. I stay in shape in between all the other stuff by playing Wii
Sports with him. I can kick his butt bowling, but he kicks mine playing
tennis. For now.
OK, so perhaps a synopsis of this weekend will tell you more details about my life. Friday night out to dinner with SweetPrince – late though since we had to wait until SB was done with football practice. That would be the last time I saw the boyfriend. Sat I ran errands with SB including buying him a new baseball glove since he lost his at the very first travel ball practice of the year (gotta love 12 year old boy scatter brains). As the treasurer for his pop warner league, I had to get the checkbook to the high school field so that umpires could get paid. Then he had his own game in Fallbrook at 4:30. I drove a carpool with another player and mom to that. They won 33-18 and then it was back home, out to dinner, home at 8:00 and then prep for Sunday. 7am-4:30pm back at the high school for Pop Warner pictures and spirit day. Big fundraiser. When that was over I then spent 2.5 hours counting money and tickets and checks and recording all of the above to report back to the board at a Tuesday night meeting on how much we made for the league. Do I get enough accounting in my life? Apparently not! Day job at National University, treasurer positions with baseball and football leagues as a volunteer. And I blame it all on Bishop’s and the senior class for voting me in as THEIR treasurer 25 years ago. Thanks a LOT guys!!! 🙂
And YOU get to figure out the dinner bills when we go to Seattle!
Absolutely not!! I only do accounting with Excel. Not in my head. Besides – it’s called a VACATION.
