Another late night chat

Well, not that late really, but late for me! The Bobs were so funny tonight. What really struck me this week though, is how much new stuff I have learned about some of them. I mean, we have been together for 11 months now. Its a family. And I really dont know all THAT much detail of their lives. I just found out this week that one has their mother living with them, another seems to have some physical challenges, another..well..he just has lived such an eventful life that it cannot all possibly come out in one chat session! I don’t know why I find all these details about their personal lives so fascinating. Well, no, maybe I do. In my experience, the more I know, the more I learn about what makes someone tick, ya know? And If I understand that properly, then I can be more supportive and less likely to say something stupid and potentially offensive. I have always been an open book, though its not like I tell people too much too soon. I will just answer any question – I have no secrets. But a lot of people do. I am trying to understand why that is, but I have to admit that I still haven’t figured that one out! Ah well, live and learn another day I guess. Early baseball game for the small boy tomorrow. Hopefully they have a good game. These kids have been in a funk. No team unity yet.
