Rollercoaster time

This week in review:
Monday, pick up DS2 from Swedish class at 6:15 after a grocery run after work. Later than usual dinner and plan out the week.
Tuesday – the only night we had no where to go, BUT, my new laptop had finally arrived at work so I spent all Tuesday night backing up files and writing down everything they needed to load onto the new machine.
Wednesday – Drop DS2 at school. Take old laptop to the office and leave with IT dudes to copy everything onto the new one. Take car in to have tire patched (big old screw causing a slow leak). Home to pack for baseball game and potential rain storm at said game, grab Alex’s little league gear to keep in car. Pick up DS2 and go to Padres game. Sit in awesome seats. About 6 rows behind the Padres dugout. Manage not to faint at the sight of Mike Piazza that close. Get more and more aggravated as the Padres lose AGAIN. End on a high note as Piazza hits his 400th career home run in his last at bat of the game. I can’t believe I was there in person not only to see it, but also to see the smile flash on Mike’s face as he jogged into the dugout. Leave game, DS2 changing into his little league uniform in the car. Drop DS2 at field. Back to office to pick up laptops. Back to field to watch DS2’s game. Home at 7:15, dinner, fiddle with new laptop downloading stuff until after 10:00pm.
Thursday – School District band concert at 6:30. Home at 7:45. Powerhouse cash flow to be completed.
Friday – Padres game right after work – home after 10:00 at least.
Saturday – To PO box to check for Powerhouse dues. Buy stamps. Mail manager payments. DS2 to the ballfield by 10:30 for game. 11:30 little league game. Immediately after game, go pick up Marie and her daughter. Marie! I have known her since we were 10 and our parent’s offices were side by side in a little strip mall in Santa Ana. We would play baseball card Old Maid!! Oh, the fun we had together. Two only children with older parents keeping each other company when school was out. She now lives in Washington state and I have not seen her in 17 years!! So, we get to hang out with our kids from 2-5 on Sat afternoon. Then I continue on with DS2 to *another* Padres game. Little League group night. Home again after 10:00
Sunday – Where else? Drive right back downtown for a third straight day! Its Photo Day! Gates open at 10:30am and we HAVE to be there to line up. We will stake out spot and not move and hope to have nice people around us. Mostly I will take pictures of DS2 with the players as they come by…but…well..you know who I want MY picture with, right?? :-> I’m hoping DS2 can pull it off. I am not quite sure WHO will take care of him after I faint dead away though. We will leave afterwards because DS2 has a Powerhouse game at 2:45 so I have to drop him at the field in Del Mar at 1:45. We should be home – finally around 5:30 on Sunday. Oh yeah, and I have to reschedule my Saturday nail appt most likely for 5:00 on Monday now. So that’s another night when I will be home later than usual.

And there you have a glimpse at my life for the moment. Also an explanation as to why I will not be online until the middle of next week!!!

I hope your Padres win one for ya, and I hope someone catches you when you faint…maybe Piazza himself! : )

Have a great weekend and a wonderful time visiting with your childhood friend. Those kinds of gatherings are just the best.
