Golden Falcons 28 – Scorpions 7

Today was easily DS2s best individual day of football in three years of playing. It started with his team kicking off to their oponents. The kick went deep, their guy recovered it and was starting to head up the field when DS2 made a great open field tackle to stop him. Throughout the game when he played on defense, he made a couple of more solo tackles like that. Then, he had opportunities on offense carrying the ball, especially in the second half. There were a couple of tough runs through the middle, including one where he was gang tackled and came up limping on his left ankle. A quick check on the sidelines and he came right back out for the next defensive series. Then the next time he carried the ball, he made a first down and THEN he got the hand off on the very next play and broke it outside for a touchdown!! No penalties this time! His first official touchdown run. I was just a *tad* excited :-> Then he had a big interception on the very next defensive series. Just a terrific game all around for him and for his team as they are now 3-0 and have only given up those seven points all season. I am one proud mama.
