I’m off!

The 9th annual August Moms reunion begins for me today. I really love the flight time that I have! For once, I did not have to get up and 0-dark thirty. Normally I am up late the night before, packing and excited and talking to Marcus before I go, then I barely fall asleep as I am stressed over not getting enough sleep with the earlier than usual alarm. Then I have to rush around once I do stagger up. Today, I was up at 6:45 just to get Alex up and ready for school. I dropped him off, came home and ate a leisurely breakfast, watered plants, ran the dishwasher and just generally got the house ready for me to be gone. Left notes for the boys who will take are of things here, showered, put on the finishing touches to my packing, and now I am basically just sitting here reading on the ‘net until Marcus picks me up. It’s awesome!!

I’ll have internet access at the hotel of course and will have my laptop so I hope to post from Maine with updates. Got a little extra cash from my man that I will stash away JIC, but hopefully will just bring back for him. I tried to remember back to the first couple of reunions when I was still with E and then those couple of years after and also had NO cash and I realized that I survived those gatherings so I need to stop worrying. Sure, I don’t have as much as I did with me the last two years, but THAT was the unusual thing. So, no worries, everything is packed according to the current TSA standards and I am so looking forward to seeing my friends!
