How I spent my Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving:
Twinkling snowflake lights along the garage roof line with a snowman and christmas tree which nicely reflect sunlight as well as having lights of their own. Oh, these pics were all taken at sunset.
Snowflake lights blend into regular icicle lights along the side of the house. Those are 5 Santas and then some twinkling candy canes along the front of the hill and the walkway. There are also regular colored lights within the low plants.

The palm tree trunk is wrapped with colored lights. There is an animated deer named Crystal (thank you Alex) who was placed out here the first year, but took a tumble down the hill after a bad rainstorm. She spent the next year in the backyard and last year at my office. This year thanks to some aggressive cutting back of the bougainvillea and a few other bushes, there is a very nice flat spot for her. There are also more colored lights randomly places in the bushes and that is a Santa and snow man on a moving teeter totter – also reflective of the sun during the day.
All four palm trees along the side are wrapped with those rope lights. One each in blue, multi, gree and red. Along the top of the wall are medium sized clear multi colored bulbs, some twinkling. On each wall post is a lighted red bow. On each wall space there is a reflective lighted decoration. This one is the choo choo train – our 3 year old neighbor’s favorite. He will come by every night now and ooh and aah at everything. That alone makes all this work totally worth it!!
Santa and sleigh on the wall. Back patio is lined all around with multi colored icicle lights. I also put strands of white lights along the backyard fence and in the peach tree in the corner not visible from here.
Alex a little later when the lights came on. I tried to take some night shots, but it just doesn’t work out! He is standing just outside the front door so on the other side of the wall from the other shots. You can see the white icicle lights which are on the roof line above the front door overhang. Yes, I have turned off all my landscaping and outdoor lights! No need for them with all this on display. By the time I am done with the inside tomorrow, I wont need to turn on any regular lights downstairs at all 🙂
No, I am not known as Mrs Griswold – yes, I have been referred to as Mrs Claus! And I love it.
Gee, I don’t know, maybe you should have a few more lights :). They are beautiful!!!

Love the lights, esp. the ones on the palm trees. Looks just like my neighborhood.
