Today was a rare day when I actually did everything I planned on doing in my head! I was awake at 4:00am thanks to the cats and a developing sinus headache. Took some Claritin and closed the door on the cats and went back to sleep until 6:30 when the sound of the fur balls playing with something loud on the wood floors woke me up again. Investigated and then took away the Gatorade cap from them (good one Nick!) and went back upstairs and listened to the radio until 7:00am. The headache was still around so I took some motrin which knocked it out while I had breakfast and read the paper. At 8:00 I went to the grocery for more litter. I’ve decided that I like Fresh Step and the way it clumps and the way it hides the odor. I’d bought another clumping brand and it just did not work as well on the smells. Today was complete litter cleanup day and with the cats watching I cleaned out their trays and vacuumed the excess litter downstairs. Right on the dot at 9:00 as planned I made my way outside to finish the bougainvillea cleanup. I had a deadline of 10:30 for that one and I made it! Cleaned up and then made my way to the Little League Opening Ceremonies. From 11:00-3:00 I was out on the field either watching the ceremony or keeping score for DS2’s disastrous game. His Little League team is NOT going to do as well as Powerhouse this year! It’s ok though, they are mostly all younger and will be together another 2 years so this year is our “Spring Training” as the coach says. A massive dry wind had kicked in just as I got to the field so I came home feeling terribly dry and parched and wind blown. Took a litte rest then off to get my nails done. Came home and organized paperwork from the week and polished off SP’s tax file. Then he and I played with the cats (in hopes that they wont wake me up so much tonight if we poop them out now). Other than a lunch date with him tomorrow, I should be home all day and will need to truly tidy up my bills and finances until the 15th as well as those of the baseball club. Hopefully start in SP’s family’s tax files too. I am jamming all this in since I leave next Sat for 4 days in Orlando for a work conference so next weekend is totally lost for chores. I must admit that I woke up feeling overwhelmed with all that I had to get done, but now I am really impressed that I did it! Without coffee even! Just my usual cup of black tea. It’s nice to have sustained energy without excessive caffeine.
If anyone was wondering, Chip the cat has adjusted fully to the house now. He is still more skittish than Amber, but only runs partially away and does not hide anywhere. He’s also the one most likely to be breathing in my face in the middle of the night. Both cats seem to need to be in the same room with me wherever I am. That’s OK. At least then when I talk to myself, I can actually talk to them and I don’t feel quite so nuts ;->
GAWD, YOU ARE BORING. A TRUE NERD.

I love boring nerds. Most of my friends are boring nerds. We’re people that are so comfortable with ourselves that we don’t have to be truly exciting every minute of the day. Thank you for being a boring nerd with me :-)I shall now go back to my blog and give a second exciting instalment about washing …
