This is unexpected because I have never had a wren hanging out around my yard before. Stepping out to get the paper I heard this song. I’ve heard it off and on for a few months now and it always catches my ear. Such a lovely sound.

We have a new bird feeder in our yard and Anna is REALLY into identifying the birds that gather. She even goes out and “talks” to them (in bird language, ie whistling…..yes, my child is weird). She swears they understand her. We got her some identification books from the library and she has been studying them. Of course, I think we’re going to go broke with bird seed because they drain it very quickly!
