Drunk dialing

Oh, my boyfriend was so funny last night! He went to the Padres game with his office team. He works for Petco. The Padres field is called Petco Park. As you can imagine, their corporate box is one of the premier spots at the ballpark. We are trying to figure out a way for me to pose as a vendor so that he can sneak me into one of these events somehow because he knows I will just drool over the location. Anyway, last night he calls me in about the 2nd inning of the game. Right away I knew he was “relaxed”! Oh gosh it was funny – he was giggling and then I started giggling and about all we did was laugh on the phone. Then he called again during the 9th inning – he’d switched to water midway through the game and he was not driving! – and we talked during the final outs and he was still so dang funny. I love when he goes out and relaxes like that because he almost never DOES allow himself that luxury. I pretty much have to force him to attend those kinds of events. Mind you – I am jealous as anything and hate that such a fabulous location is wasted on someone like him who could really care less about the game (he was asking me when Sammy Sosa left eh Cubs for heavens sake!) Anyway, I am going tonight though I shall be slumming it near my old season ticket seat location out in right field. It would be fun to turn the tables on him tonight, but I wont. I don’t have a designated driver and I wont be in a luxury box with a ‘fridge stocked with free booze. I’ll still have fun though. Dang, it’s been 5 weeks since I went to a game!! That is so weird to me.
