It’s the first official weekend without a baseball game!!! What to do with all that free time???

Shopping at the mall with my gift card and a coupon from Childrens Place since DS2 needs shorts badly. A trip to the County Recorder’s Office for a quit claim deed to take the house out of the trust and put back into my name for the LOC I am getting. A temporary transfer, then it goes back to the trust. Fun fun. Just found out I have to do that and was pleased to see there are Saturday hours. A visit to a potential charitable organization for DS2 and I. I want to get him involved in community service – particularly with kids – and found out about The Miracle League of San Diego. A baseball league for kids with all sorts of disabilities. One of the gals from the Padres blog site volunteers for them so we will go watch a game or two and talk to someone about joining. That is all on Saturday. Sunday we do have the end of year pool party for the Powerhouse Team and I need to get some stuff together to bring to that. I really really want to get in the yard and clean up some weeds. I must say that the yard is so well grown in with landscaping plants now that the weeds are not that obvious – just to me!! But it also only takes a couple of hours to clear them out and I really miss doing that. Maybe Sunday morning before the party.
Weird week at work. Slow going at first. In fact, I’ve been rather bored again grasping for things to do to pass the time without totally goofing off on the internet all day (only partially succeeding at that!) Then today being the first of the year, it picked up rather quickly. Of course today was also DS2’s annual dr appointment which put me at work later than usual, then a morning meeting so I really did not get started until 11. THEN the system gave me fits and I ended up scrambling until 5:15, giving up on one process, checking in on it when I got home at 6:00 and then giving up again at 6:30 when they took the system down for some clearly much needed maintenance! Argh! It’s also staff evaluation time. But, I am tired so I will leave for another post as I have Stuff to Say About That. So THERE :->
