Overly connected?

As everyone knows, the plan is on to tend to myself and also create distractions to keep me from focusing on missing DS2. Since it is now past a week since he left, this is usually when the challenge is greater since I am used to him being out of my house for a week at a time. I’ve been focusing more time on the Padres and their blog and the community there for shits and giggles and now I have found a way (through Twitter) to even chat with that group when I am at a game – something I will test out on Sat night when I see the Red Sox here. Given that I often bug SP for having his damn cell phone with him ALL THE TIME and constantly ON, I realize I am now challenging him with connectivity issues 🙂 But its fun! And as my August mom friends know, it can really add to your life to make friends I would otherwise not meet IRL. Just have to make sure I don’t let anything keep from , you know – working!

Anyway, the weekend is shaping up nicely to keep things moving. Getting a facial peel from my friend tonight, the walk at Torrey again tomorrow morning, then meeting co-workers downtown for the Padres game, then all day Sunday for Powerhouse tryouts. Lot’s of face to face connections there 🙂

Oh, and if I get arrested for stalking…..I just found out thanks to all the attention given Journey and their song used in The Sopranos finale that THE VOICE of my high school days, and really on into DS1’s early years – lives in Del Mar!! AACK!!! I’ve randomly run into every other locallly famous radio/tv/sports celeb who lives there – why not him?! Randomly. Of course. AACK!! I mean, seriously – Mike Piazza on my local team for a year last year so that I got a picture with him, and now this? Could I really meet this guy and get a picture and autograph?! AAACK!!! Seriously – as much as DS2 shared my joy with Piazza, I knew exactly who to call for this one – Ds1. He FREAKED! Gawd we will get in so much trouble if we see him! AAAACK!!
