AWKward!

OK, can someone clue this un-hip 40 something into where that word comes from? MLL correctly used it in an earlier comment, and SP has picked it up from his 20 something co-workers and has been saying it a lot. I figure it is from a tv show or movie and since I watch very few of either…..educate me!

Ah yes, it has been that kind of a day though. Lessons learned and pre-cautions taken as we launch into NaBloPoMo time and an increase in readers.  And for the record, my shoes taste much better when coated in dark chocolate vs the bitter brew they were dipped in today. I’m just sayin’ ;->

Oh, and just to keep November exciting, pop warner has potentially set the team up to play 3 games in 8 days beginning this Saturday. The school just called to let us know that the parent-teacher conferences will take place next week (they were supposed to happen last week). And if the team advances through? They play on into regionals and that means games past thanksgiving possibly. Guess when his 6th grade camp is? Oh yes, the week after turkey day! Can I get a volunteer to inform our coach of that? Because I am still smarting from the little run in I had with him last week over a Sat meeting that initially conflicted with a pre-scheduled baseball tournament game. All the drama was for naught as the tourney was finally canceled, but there were some tense emails in between. Enough to make me NOT want to tell him about 6th grade camp! So, any takers??? Please?!!
