Spoiled kids? No! Spoiled cats…..

Why is this a spoiled cat? Because every time she does something cute (such as sit in this box of manila envelopes that I was using), I run for the camera to record the moment. Not once was I like that with the boys when they were babies! Ok, I didn’t have a digital camera back then which does make it a lot easier to take pictures and get that instant gratification at least digitally, but still, I doubt seriously I would have been this snap happy.

Then there is this problem I have when going to Petco. The last two times I went there, the needed object was a box of litter and a gift card. Is that all I got? Oh, of course not. I absolutely cannot resist passing through the cat toy section and imagining Amber playing with everything on display. Now, it is a literal waste of my money to buy anything in the store. Really, I can get things from SP and lord knows he brings enough home without me asking! Yes, every single time I buy at least one thing. Today, it was $2 fuzzy mice. The last time Amber had those, she played with them until they were down to being just little plastic shells.

The good thing is, I am counting on other people wanting to spoil their cats. This is the “Pamper You Kittie” gift basket that I put together for the silent auction we are running this week for the baseball club:

There is a scratchy thingy, a lovely silver feeding bowl set, a comfy bed and all these toys which match with the bed’s fabric. Look at all those blue feathers dangling from the toys! Also some catnip and treats and the Petco gift card I was buying today. As usual, Amber had to inspect the final result and judging from her interest in the dangling feathers, I think that any cat would be quite happy with this basket of goodies. Hopefully someone at the event will think so too 🙂

As an aside – I almost forgot to post tonight! It’s so so rare to have a Sunday without a game for SportsBoy and I had to catch up on household chores and then get things ready for the auction and then just generally lay on the sofa watching football, you know? I kinda got lulled into a non-computer day! Almost.
