Peace and quiet is over

January has been so nice. Rather mellow. A time to just catch up and decompress and relax and read and exercise and stuff. No more!

I’ve learned that the new board position I am in translates into long meetings…SportsBoy and I were at a house last night until almost 10:00pm. And that was with me cutting us off so that I could get him in bed! I have no idea how long others stayed. There will be another meeting Tuesday night next week. In fact, I think there will be meetings at least once a week for awhile. Oof. Oh well. It would not seem too bad except for the upcoming baseball tournament. In Riverside which is 90mins away. I’m saving money by not staying up there tonight, but I do have to get up and out of the house with SB by 5:30am Saturday in order to have him at the field for warm ups at 7:00am.  We will stay up there Sat night, he plays games at 10 and noon on Sunday and then we see if they made it to the playoff round on Monday. Yes, the 3 day weekend is essentially taken up with this tournament. But hey – the weather is cooperating and they need the games and its a Big League Dreams facility which the parents always love (nice restaurant that serves beer with views of the fields and tv sets for watching certain Big Football Games) and the company will be good.

So if the Move 08 post is up late on Sunday, you know why!
