This week in life

Taking a break from current events commentary finally to update general stuff going on 🙂

We are in full baseball season routine these days. Little League practice has started (2x a week + batting cages) and travel ball continues with a tournament in Huntington Beach this weekend. We have president’s days off tomorrow and Monday (yet another 4 day weekend!). My dad is home so no more nightly trips to the hospital and I’ve managed to just about catch up on tax filings. SP and I have tickets to see Styx in concert Sat night so that will be our Valentines date. The weather has been awesome – except for today. Of course it rains today – it’s drop off line day! I had to stand out there in what started off as just some sprinkles and then turned into a full on shower this morning. Ack! I had dropped Tuesdays from my schedule because they seemed to have plenty of people working that morning and not enough on Thursday and I really needed to cut it in half. Of course it figures the one day a week I am supposed to work that it rains 😉 Oh well.

Meanwhile – it is February. To quote that wise cat Garfield “February is the Monday of months.” So true for this rabid sports fan. Football is over and the MLB doesn’t start spring training games until March. No wonder I am so taken with American Idol and election returns!!!
