Yes, this is early, but I just got home and I have to get up and leave the house at 7:30 to get Sports Boy from his dad and head up for day 2 of the tournament. Apparently they won both games today (woohoo) and stand a good chance of getting the top 1 or 2 seeding to play on Monday. So I will be away from the computer for most of the day and thought I should get this up now, since I am up. I’m hungry from all that dancing at the concert, my ears are ringing and I am thirsty so a yogurt and some water and then I crash. Yes, the trip back to 1980 was awesome! I love the House of Blues! What a cool venue. Intimate – just about 800 people. A floor area in front of the stage and then a balcony above but either way you are right close to the band. We got a spot about midway stage right on the floor and parked ourselves for a night of jostling, dodging spilled beers (unsuccessfully at first) and screaming and dancing. I’m counting tonight in my aerobic totals!!! The acoustics were fantastic and the guys can flat out play and their voices are as strong as ever. Tommy Shaw picked up the mandolin and played Boat on a River and I nearly floated away 😉 OK, yes, Move 08…
Counting tonight I did hit my aerobic goal with an average of 35 mins over 5 days (goal is 30 mins). I also ended up with 4 complete hand weight routines working my arms (goal is 3). The last two times I could tell I am getting stronger because I was able to do more reps and/or hold the weight in position longer. Felt good!
I have a desire to shed 5 pounds that is not happening yet, but that’s OK. As long as my jeans fit more comfortably over time, I will be happy. Oh, and eating at Mortons Steak House tonight before the concert probably did not help!!! Otherwise though I feel I am back on a good eating routine again which gives me more sustained energy all day and keeps me motivated to move.
I hope everyone else had a great week. And if not. No worries. A new week starts tomorrow so let’s Move Move Move 🙂
I got up to 4 miles this week, so I’m improving… Better weather, and a little less general craziness. If I could figure out how to walk consistently on weekdays I might be able to make this work.
Rachel – In my opinion as long as you move you are making it work! I have the same struggle with the weekdays. Congrats on the 4 miles!
Well done, TPG. 🙂
