Yes, I just finished watching Modern Family. Yes, the scene in the bar with all the gays discussing their first crush & then Ed O’Neill joining in was fall off the couch funny. I even had to admit to sharing Longinue’s crush – Bo Duke from Dukes of Hazzard (John Schneider). He was, I think they only true blonde haired blue eyed celebrity I ever crushed on. Can you blame me though?
Yeah, total California boy good looks. And? Amazingly white teeth!
Did they even have teeth whitening back then?
Anyhow, he was not the first though, not by a long shot. I think the first time I saw a guy and realized there was something more going on with him compared to anyone else I saw was back when I was around 10. And? I think it was a tie. Because I alternately think of one or the other when I am faced with this question. I’ll give the nod to this first one since his TV show did start BEFORE the 1975 baseball season:

At the same time though, I had also discovered the wonders of a little sport called baseball. Even though I grew up in LA Dodger and California Angels territory, my heart was snatched by a Red Sox catcher by the name of Carlton Fisk. You might see some similarities between he and Randolph:
Yup, that’s why #27 is my lucky number 🙂 It also might explain my love of catchers. I do have a good eye for them though. Fisk made it to the Hall of Fame and the player who came along later and broke his HR record was one Mike Piazza. Long time readers will know my history of following his career VERY closely and nearly fainting when I had my picture taken with him. I only fall for the best!

Mine were Davy Jones, David Cassidy and bobby sherman. but Randolph mantooth was a fav of mine, too.

I was a die hard emergency fan. Big first time crush on Randy! I was 9-13, even the cartoon of emergency plus 4. With the promos they did after the cartoon. Wonder how many little girls had a crush on him back than??
