I seriously had the BEST run coach/pacer ever! She pushed/pulled me to a time I could never have imagined. Instead of my initial thought of 12 minute miles, which I then adjusted to an 11 min or 11:30 pace (most of my training runs were in that range) – I finished in 2 hours, 12 minutes which translates to a 10:05 min pace!!! WHAT? I have a nasty blister and very very stiff legs, but I am so THRILLED! I beat people I knew who I never thought I could beat.
And at the end, we went to get pizza and BEER! Oh yeah 🙂
