Domestic goddess weekend.

Of course, all C&J gals are goddesses. However, yesterday I was the complete Domestic Goddess specifically. Really. Stop laughing over there!!
DS2 and I cleaned off our bookshelves and dusted our bedrooms. That was like 3 years overdue! I vacuumed both bedrooms and then completed the TV rotation by hooking up DS1’s old TV to DS2’s Playstation and took the 13″ set downstairs where it will eventually be hooked up in the garage. Then I was struck with a baking urge and while I was making dinner I prepped the Lace cookies highlighted at the The Family Blender. I got them baking as soon as we finished eating. Oh YUM!!! Then I also baked some cornbread muffins from an organic mix that I picked up at Jimbo’s. More yums.
I cleaned downstairs today which takes very little time as I’ve done a pretty good job keeping it up AND I finally got a nice light canister vacuum for the new floors which is a lot easier. Laundry is done and grocery shopping for the week too. My my. I have a feeling all this productiveness at home is partially to alleviate some frustration of financial stress that is largely out of my control and also because I go in for my biopsy Wednesday which is also pretty much out of my control. Kind of like last weekend when I was pissed about the Charger game and I just tore apart my ‘fridge and cleaned it until it sparkled. IOW – I get my house in order when I feel the need to control *something* :->

  1. I actually met someone from Torrey Pines Institute of something or other yesterday. (Some genomics company.) Anyway, sounded like a great place to live. You should check out these freaky people and think about how THEIR domestic goddess weekends go! Whoah. http://testingtfv.blogspot.com/

Glad you got your house clean. Want to come clean my desk??
