Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Oooh, two posts in less than 12 hours! Guess I am coming out of my fog. Plus, I was wrong about the dreams (yay!) so I feel pretty good on this Friday morning.
That quote above always makes me smile. I was born in the year of the Dragon and have always loved dragon tales. Which reminds me of something else I can do in here once in awhile – share some passages from my favorite children’s poem book 🙂 I’ll also have to put it in my Goodreads list. It’s the best.
Anyway, my DVR list. Inspired by this post from Calvin.
- The Daily Show
- Real Time with Bill Maher
- Grey’s Anatomy (I usually watch this real time anyway since I love it and must be prepared to discuss it Friday mornings at work)
- Dan Rather Reports on HD Net
Yep, that’s it!! But, that is because in between those shows, I am glued to Padres baseball games which are just about every night still, and football on Sundays. And also because the tv with the DVR is dominated by SportsBoy when he is with me and most of those shows are not necessarily entertaining or really appropriate for an 11 year old boy! Now, if I see ahead of time that the show or guest will be good, I also record Oprah. And maybe I will add House to the list this year. I know I already missed the premier, but I figure once baseball ends I can add another hour long show and the ones I caught last year were really good! Boston Legal is another potential candidate since the I’ve always enjoyed the episodes I’ve cuaght before. Love Denny! Oh, and once American Idol starts I will be all over that.
Happy Friday!!
My Dad has that one hanging up at my parents’ house. I love it. There’s a cartoon-ish pic of a big dragon holding a limp and slain knight in its claw. Heehee. Dad has always liked dragons and fantasy and such. I get a bit of that from him myself. I’ve always liked teeb’s sig too…
We have On Demand on our cable network. Some of our shows are available when we want to watch them, commercial-free. We watch some of the CSI’s that way. Love 24, but that won’t start again til January. Criminal Minds, Daily Show (of course), Two and a Half Men is a hoot (til 24 comes back on). Football, definitely, supersedes all else.
Enjoy your August Moms’ weekend! Have a blast!
Oprah??? 😉 Smooches!

Can you go back over to Calvin and post a link to your DVR post? She doesn’t know my friends well enough to identify them by their pseudonyms. She knows you all by your blog name. Thanks.

Alto2,
Actually WordPress is so smart – when you link in one of your posts to another wordpress blog post, it automatically sends a comment to that post letting it know there was a link created. Kinda cool. Go back and see Add It To the List and check it out. Worked for both my posting and RM’s
