I think this will be my Friday theme until the election is over. I read so many sites all week and I often want to link to dozens of things here, but I also know that a lot of my readers don’t get into this as much as I do. So instead I will post once a week (unless moved beyond my control) on either an essay or a sound bite or, in this case again, a video which represents something important to me. This one does a great job of dealing with rumors:

I understand why Americans correlate the muslim faith with fear, because of the extremists that we hear so much about, but it’s troubling to me that religion plays such a central part in politics.
It should not factor in to such a degree in a nation where we observe the separation of church and state.
