Had to repost this since it is the last photo I took of the birthday boy. He’ll be back home with me tonight and I’ll take some shots, but for now this is the latest. 12!! Ack. If you follow my twitter updates then you know – I caved while shopping. See, the thing is, I walked in with every intent to first of all not even see a Wii at Game Stop. They have been back ordered even on into June which was the last time I looked seriously. So anyway, I walk in with the plan to find some Harry Potter related PC or PS2 game as he had requested when I told him there would be no Wii. I figured even if I could not find something specific that I would get him a gift card so that we could go back and shop. Then I walked into the shop and what was up there but a Wii. Oh no. And the bargaining with myself began. “We can just have it downstairs for awhile. It doesn’t have to be up in his room so I don’t NEED to get another TV at the moment. If I just get the basic Wii with a couple extra controllers and one game, it’s not that bad. We are hardly home to play anyway so having it on the main TV wont be that much of a conflict. Just for a few months, right? Plus, its for all of us so its better if its downstairs. Yeah. OK” Only, that conversation was basically me asking the guy at the front “Do you really have a Wii?” He said yes and I said “I’ll take it” Will power – OUT the window!!

But hey, it means there will be a treasure hunt when he gets home. A treasure hunt leading to this:

🙂 HIdden in a box right next to the downstairs TV. I’ve had this dang box of logs between the TV stand and fireplace since December. Now it has a purpose. It is exactly the size to hold a Wii. It’s more concealed than this in reality so a bit more of a challenge for him to find. But I cannot wait for him to find it!!!

Sunday started out like Saturday with lots of stuff on the schedule. First off, I woke up to this:

Apparently, spare sets of football pads are quite fun for cats to play with. Darn good thing I have TWO extra sets eh? Flipping cat. Yes, I said cat. Because I know it was only one. And apparently, knee pad shredding is exhausting:

Don’t you wish you could relax and sleep as completely as a cat?

After cleaning up and breakfast, I hit Henry’s for the weekly run, then went out to a short baseball meeting, then to Game Stop. Since that went tons faster than I planned, I was able to set up the treasure hunt, have some lunch and then…oooo..sit down and watch baseball and take a Sunday afternoon nap. Sooo nice. Though, not quite like a cat eh? Then I had a football meeting after dinner. Yeah, meetings coming out my ears. That will be my life for awhile. In between everything I watched the Olympics ’cause I’m alreadly addicted 🙂

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Oh, and so as not to slight the other son or the other cat:

Happy Monday!
