I’m sharing this here because I don’t think of this set of photos as being political in nature. What it IS, is a history of the year in the White House which, no matter your political persuasion, is OUR history too. What I love – and you need to take the time to click through all of these – are the comments by Pete Souza describing the scenes and/or why he chose the shots and angles that he did. Mr Souza has been photographing President’s for decades. If there is ANY job I would love to have – it is his. Witness to everything. Literally EVERYTHING that goes on around the President.
